These Terms of Service govern your use of Code Nordic's Python programming education platform and related services. By accessing our website, enrolling in our courses, or using our educational materials, you agree to be bound by these terms and our educational policies.
Our services are designed to provide professional Python programming education to students in Finland and internationally. These terms ensure fair usage and protect both students and our educational platform.
Service Usage Terms
Acceptable Use Policy
Educational Purpose: Our Python courses and materials are intended for legitimate educational and professional development purposes only.
Personal Use: Course access is granted to individual students and may not be shared, redistributed, or used for commercial training without written permission.
Respectful Conduct: Students must maintain respectful communication with instructors, fellow students, and Code Nordic staff throughout their learning journey.
Academic Integrity: Students are expected to complete assignments independently and not engage in plagiarism or unauthorized collaboration on assessments.
Prohibited Activities
- Sharing login credentials or course access with unauthorized individuals
- Downloading, copying, or redistributing course materials without permission
- Using our platform to distribute malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
- Attempting to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise our educational platform
- Engaging in harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior toward other users
Account and Access Terms
Account Creation
Eligibility: Students must be at least 16 years old to create an account and enroll in our Python programming courses.
Accurate Information: You must provide truthful and current information during registration and keep your account details updated.
Single Account: Each student is permitted one active account. Multiple accounts may result in suspension of access.
Account Verification: We may require verification of identity or educational background for certain advanced courses.
Account Security
Password Protection: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and account security.
Unauthorized Access: Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or course materials.
Account Monitoring: We monitor account activity to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with our educational policies.
Liability: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, including unauthorized usage.
Account Suspension and Termination
Violation of Terms: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms of service or our educational policies.
Non-Payment: Accounts may be suspended for non-payment of course fees, though we will provide reasonable notice and opportunity to resolve payment issues.
Inactive Accounts: Accounts inactive for more than 24 months may be archived, though course completion certificates remain accessible.
Appeal Process: If your account is suspended, you may contact us to appeal the decision and request reinstatement.
Payment and Refund Policy
Course Fees and Payment
Pricing: All course prices are listed in Euros (EUR) and include applicable Finnish VAT where required by law.
Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers for course enrollment fees.
Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors. We do not store your complete payment card information.
Course Access: Full course access is granted immediately upon successful payment verification.
Refund Policy
14-Day Guarantee: Students may request a full refund within 14 days of course purchase if less than 20% of course content has been accessed.
Course Cancellation: If Code Nordic cancels a course before completion, students will receive a full refund or credit toward another course of equal or lesser value.
Refund Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.
No Partial Refunds: Refunds are not available for partially completed courses beyond the 14-day guarantee period.
Intellectual Property Rights
Course Materials
Ownership: All course content, including videos, text materials, code examples, exercises, and assessments, remain the intellectual property of Code Nordic.
License Grant: Students receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course materials for personal educational purposes during their enrollment period.
Copyright Protection: Course materials are protected by Finnish and international copyright laws. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.
Student Work: Code and projects created by students during courses remain the student's intellectual property, though we may showcase exceptional work with permission.
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Service Availability
"As-Is" Basis: Our educational platform and course materials are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Technical Issues: While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our platform and are not liable for temporary service disruptions.
Content Updates: Course content may be updated periodically to reflect current Python programming practices and industry standards.
Limitation of Liability
Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claims related to our services is limited to the amount paid by the student for the specific course in question.
Excluded Damages: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our educational services.
Employment Results: While our courses provide valuable Python programming skills, we do not guarantee employment outcomes or specific career advancement.
Privacy and Data Protection
Privacy Policy: Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
GDPR Compliance: As a Finnish company, we comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Finnish data protection laws.
