Legal Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Code Nordic regarding your use of our Python programming education services. By enrolling in our courses, accessing our platform, or using our educational materials, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
This agreement supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, forming the complete legal framework governing your relationship with Code Nordic as an educational service provider.
User Obligations and Responsibilities
Legal Compliance
- Local Laws: You must comply with all applicable Finnish, EU, and local laws when using our Python programming courses and educational materials.
- Data Protection: You must respect data protection regulations when handling any personal or sensitive data during practical exercises and projects.
- Intellectual Property: You must respect copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights in all coding projects and educational activities.
- Academic Integrity: You must maintain honesty in all course work, assessments, and interactions with instructors and fellow students.
Prohibited Conduct
- Fraudulent Activity: Any attempt to gain unauthorized access, manipulate course progress, or engage in academic dishonesty
- Harmful Code: Creating, distributing, or teaching malicious software, viruses, or code intended to harm computer systems
- Harassment: Engaging in discriminatory, offensive, or threatening behavior toward instructors, students, or staff members
- Commercial Misuse: Using our educational content for unauthorized commercial training or competitive purposes
Age Requirements and Eligibility
Minimum Age: Students must be at least 16 years old to enroll in our Python programming courses independently. Students under 18 require parental or guardian consent for enrollment.
Legal Capacity: By enrolling, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement under Finnish law or the laws of your residence.
Educational Prerequisites: While no formal programming experience is required, students should have basic computer literacy and access to appropriate learning equipment.
Language Requirements: Our courses are conducted in English. Students should have sufficient English proficiency to understand technical programming concepts and communicate effectively.
Content Guidelines and Restrictions

Prohibited Content
- • Copyrighted code without proper attribution

- • Commercial advertisements or promotional content
- • Personal information that violates privacy regulations
Indemnification Obligations
Student Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Code Nordic, its instructors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your violation of these terms, misuse of our educational services, or infringement of third-party rights.
Code Usage: You are responsible for ensuring that any code you create or deploy based on our educational content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe on intellectual property rights.
Third-Party Claims: You will defend Code Nordic against any third-party claims related to your use of our Python programming education, including but not limited to copyright infringement, data protection violations, or harmful code deployment.
Liability Limitations and Warranty Disclaimers
Disclaimer of Warranties
Educational Services: Our Python programming courses are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, career advancement, or employment opportunities.
Technical Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that all course content is error-free or suitable for all purposes. Programming languages and technologies evolve rapidly.
Platform Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our educational platform, though we maintain reasonable uptime and technical support.
Third-Party Integration: We disclaim responsibility for third-party tools, libraries, or services referenced in our curriculum that may change or become unavailable.
Limitation of Liability
Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim, not to exceed €2,000 per incident.
Consequential Damages: We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.
Career Outcomes: We explicitly disclaim liability for employment decisions, salary negotiations, or career advancement based on completion of our Python programming courses.
Student Projects: We are not liable for any consequences arising from deployment, distribution, or commercial use of code created during our educational programs.
Force Majeure
Excused Performance: Neither party is liable for delays or failures in performance due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, labor disputes, or technical infrastructure failures.
Notification: We will notify affected students promptly of any force majeure events that significantly impact course delivery or platform availability.
Alternative Arrangements: During force majeure events, we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative learning methods or reschedule courses when possible.
Extended Events: If force majeure conditions persist for more than 60 days, either party may terminate the affected course enrollment with appropriate refund consideration.
Legal Information and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
Finnish Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by Finnish law, including the Consumer Protection Act and educational service regulations.
EU Regulations: For EU residents, applicable EU consumer protection and data protection regulations supplement Finnish law.
International Students: Non-EU students are subject to Finnish law while respecting any mandatory provisions of their home country's consumer protection laws.
Dispute Resolution Procedures
Direct Resolution: We encourage direct communication to resolve any disputes or concerns about our Python programming courses.
Mediation: Unresolved disputes may be submitted to mediation through the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board or appropriate alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
Jurisdiction: Legal proceedings, if necessary, must be initiated in the competent courts of Helsinki, Finland.
EU Online Dispute Resolution: EU residents may access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
Severability and Interpretation
Severability Clause: If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Interpretation: These terms will be interpreted fairly and reasonably, with no presumption against the drafting party, in accordance with Finnish legal principles.
Language: These Terms and Conditions are originally drafted in English. Any translations are provided for convenience only, and the English version governs in case of conflicts.
Headings: Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation or scope of the provisions.
Terms Modification Policy
Update Authority: Code Nordic reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions as necessary to comply with legal requirements, reflect changes in our educational services, or address operational needs.
Notice Period: Material changes will be announced 30 days in advance through email notification to enrolled students and prominent website posting.
Acceptance: Continued use of our Python programming courses after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Grandfathering: Enrolled students may complete their current courses under the terms in effect at the time of enrollment, subject to essential legal or safety updates.
Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Code Nordic regarding your use of our Python programming education services. They supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements relating to the subject matter herein.
